The early Business Catalyst vision was to be a leading edge firm of the future and a recognised market leader. The Firm would be the first to market with new concepts focussed on delivering significantly higher value to clients than the existing players in the consulting industry.

The Firm’s strategy was to:

• Develop a high value niche/specialist consulting Firm for the blue chip market that breaks down the industry barriers created by the Big 5 and top-end international firms.
  

• Establish a unique brand built on an innovative consulting model that is highly differentiated - using only highly experienced people, leveraging client resource and ensuring the negative aspects of the traditional consulting firms could not exist in our model.
  

• Invest heavily in brand development, intellectual property, client relationships, marketing and infrastructure.
